How to find the most suitable wheel clamp / parking clamp for your tires:
We want that it fits and be safe!

1. You should know that:
A wheel clamp / parking clamp unfolds the greatest possible theft protection only if it is selected as accurately as possible for the tire and also firmly and immovably mounted on the tire. This makes it difficult for thieves to break open the clamp easily with lever or cutting tools.

Primary important tire measures:
For the selection of the suitable wheel clamp / parking clamp you need first of all
W = the tire width and
D = the tire diameter.

Secondary important tire measures:
Less important and only after checking the width and diameter is the specification
R (Rim) = Rim size in inches (“),
because the rim always fits into the actual tire diameter.

Therefore, first check the primarily important measurements and only then, if the rim size also fits. Even if the rim dimension of your tire should be larger than indicated on your desired clamp, this only means that the wheel clamp / parking clamp is then no longer aligned exactly with the center of the wheel. With 1 to a maximum of 2 inches deviation this would not be relevant for the safety.
But even bigger deviations you should avoid and rather resort to a larger clamp.

2. How do I find my tire diameter?
a.) Use our formula wizard.
Enter all tire data readable on the tire flank (see figure) in the corresponding fields. The formula wizard then calculates the diameter of your tire for you.

b.) Do a measurement.
Take a folding rule and position it upright and centered in front of the tire.
Lay a board or other medium horizontally on top of the tire.
So the height of the tire can be read exactly.

3. Choose the suitable wheel clamp / parking clamp
If you have now all the information necessary for the fitting accuracy,
W = tire width and
D = tire diameter,

a.) then use our search filter functions in the second menu block on the left.
